Who I am (Totoro)

Konnichiwa, hello....

  My name is Totoro, a Japanese animated character in the famous 1988 movie "My neighbor Totoro" ("My friend Totoro" in the US market) produced by Studio Ghibli and The Walt Disney. This film tells the story of the two young daughters of a professor and their interactions with friendly WOOD SPIRIT (IT'S ME ^^) in postwar rural Japan. The film won the Animage Anime Grand Prix prize and the Mainichi Film Award for Best Film in 1988.

Just like MASHIMARO the bunny, though I'm an animated character, my merchandise has been a real hot business all over the word :)))))) My fan clubs and fan sites are set up even in America or Germany. My merchandise, also in wide range from cup sets, shirts, hats to accessories, has been a hot business since the debut of me and my movies :)))))

Despite being chubby and silly *hahaha, indeed I'm*, unlike MASHIMARO the bunny, who appears to be cute but actually "loves playing mean tricks on friends and other people" :P, I'm a friendly wood spirits, who is always there for young children, protecting them from the evils and nourishing their love for nature.

Who I am (MASHIMARO)

Annyeonghaseyo, Hello~~~
I'm Mashimaro, a Korean animated character who resembles a fat bunny *kutie kutie pie*. I was created by Kim Jae In and Jang Mi Yeong back in 1999. At the time, I was originally designed to be used on an educational website for children, however, as the original client rejected the design, Kim and Jang decided to use me in a flash animation, which is a form of mini cartoon.

And after that came the reign of MASHIMARO the bunny muahahahaha

In Korea, my home country, I'm also known as Yeopki Tokki (엽기토끼, which means "Bizarre rabbit" *O.o.O* ). I debuted in a series of flash animations (mostly without any dialogue, although the occasional word of Korean or English is present) on the internet.

However, my popularity is far more often seen in merchandise, such as dolls, handbooks, bags, jackets, accessories, etc.. MASHIMARO the bunny's merchandise can be found on the internet and in Korean communities around the world and has been an incredibly hot trend among kids and teenagers all over the world *yay me!!! ^.^*
